Agumbe is the end point of Shimoga district joining Someshwara forest with it is 32 km far from Thirthahalli town. A steeply Ghat section of 14 to 15 curves lead to Udupi district. Agumbe is famous for it's sun set point which is brighter during summer. sun set point constructed few years ago invites hundreds of visitors every day. relaxing view of greenery to the farthest is the main attraction of the place. Don't forget to taste the road side chats at the sun set point.
Thirthahallo is located 25 km away from Natures Nestle homestay. Major attraction of Thirthahalli town is Thunga bridge which connects Koppa road. Rameshwara temple situated at the river bank of Thunga and famous for once in a year "Teppotsava" which usually falls between December to January month of the year. Parashurama Thirtha located at the middle of Thunga river can easily be identified by small Mantapa constructed.
KODACHADRI is the highest peak of western ghats and trekking is fun as well as dangerous as the way is slippery. This peak is located 36 km from Hosanagara on a drive. Due to the huge wind blow there are less trees found on the peak of the hill. It is sourrounded with lush greenery which is harbour from many of the wild animals. It is a hot spot for those who love trekking.
HIDLUMANE FALLS is an absolute trekking experience for any one who wants to take brilliant view of Hidlumane. It is 7 km far from Kodachadri in which 4 km of trekking in the dense forest. Water running from the mountain comes down step by step which forms several small water falls and finally forms Hidlumane falls. First time visitors better take the help of localites to catch the proper route. It is 43 km from Hosanagar town.
The world famous Jog falls is located 70 km from Hosanagar town. Sharavathi river contributes for the scenic beauty of nature which is truely world class. Water divides into four ways popularly called as Raja, Rani, Roarer, Rocket and falls down with enormous speed and sound which makes the viewer go speechless. Jog dives from 960 ft to form a lake below. Recently stairs are constructed by government which takes visitors down to the lake. Severe tiredness and thirst will occur inspite humidity but worth trekking till the end. Footsteps are slippery and wet all the time of the year. SIGANDOOR / SIGANDUR is famous for its Chowdeshwari temple and the way people travel to the place. Sigandoor Chowdeshwari temple is very popular and people for other districts visit the place very offen and myth is that after worshipping godess / Pooja, Prasada from the temple kept in the farm houses, industries etc will not be stealed as Godess Chowdeshwari will punish the thief. It is located 83 km from Hosanagar town.
TRANSPORTATION - as the back waters cover the area and there is no bridge connecting Sigandoor, two boats / launchs are available for every 1 hr. launch can carry around 10 vehicles each time along with people and the ticket is at the nominal price.
It is about 18 km from Thirthahalli towards Agumbe. Diversion at Megaravalli towards Koppa road will lead to the arch of Kundadri hills. Vehicle can reach till the upper most point of the hill with very narrow roads. An ancient Jain temple located at the top of the hill. Kavaledurga fort is 16 km drive from Thirthahalli. was constructed in 9th century AD and most of the fort is ruined today. Vehicle can reach only till the foot of the mountain on mud road and has to trek rest of the way. One can not notice this huge fort in one sight during the trekking and 1000 pillar palace is now only the history. As the fort is inside the dense forest it is advisable not to trek after 6 pm. A beautiful view of Varahi water reservoir is seen at the top most point of the fort that is "Shikareshwara temple" constructed on a single rock which is in shape of Shivalinga.
Ambuthirtha is the origin place of river Sharavati which moves towards north-west to form the famous Jog falls. This place is located 10 km from Natures Nestle Homestay.
Story behind the name Ambuthirtha is Lord Rama pierced the ground with his "AMBU" that is arrow to put down the thirst of his wife Sita. Pierced arrow lead to origin of Sharavati river which is established by Shiva Linga at the site.

RASTRAKAVI KUVEMPU's native place which is now supervised by government and has turned the house of Kuvempu into Museum.
